The Cabinet has developed a plan for the economic development of the country
The Cabinet has approved a plan for the economic and social development of Ukraine for 2015-2017.
This is stated in the Cabinet's resolution No. 404 dated August 27.
According to the resolution, the government has developed two scenarios for the growth of macroeconomic indicators. Ukraine will develop under one of the two scenarios. Everything will depend on the state of economic and social development of Ukraine. The situation in Eastern Ukraine will also be taken into account, particularly the ability of the regions where ATO is conducted to restore their economic potential.
According to the forecasts, GDP growth in 2016 is expected to rise to 2.5% - 4.5% according to each scenario. In 2017, it should reach 3% and 6.5% respectively.
The nominal gross domestic product according to international standards may reach 1,963.6 and 2,084,600,000,000 hryvnias respectively in 2016, while in 2017 this figure will increase to 2,137.3 and 2,366,800,000,000 hryvnias according to one of the two scenarios.
In addition, inflation is expected to range from 10.9% to 13% depending on the chosen development scenario. However, in 2016 this figure is expected to decrease, reaching 6.1% and 7.3% respectively.
