Front-Line Communities Get a Financial Boost

According to Рубрика — Суспільство: Ukraine's government has approved an extra UAH 2.3 billion for municipalities living under the shadow of active or possible combat. The funds are being distributed among 179 local community budgets and five regional budgets, in line with Cabinet Resolution No. 80 of January 28, 2026, which targets areas facing the highest security risks.

A Regional Look at the Disbursements

• Kharkiv region: UAH 627.2 million (34 community budgets)
• Donetsk region: UAH 409.6 million (28 budgets)
• Zaporizhzhia region: UAH 520.1 million (24 budgets), including more than UAH 36 million set aside to pay wages of employees in areas with active fighting
• Dnipropetrovsk region: UAH 314.8 million (20 budgets)
• Sumy region: UAH 206.8 million (24 budgets)
• Odesa region: UAH 104.1 million
• Mykolaiv region: UAH 12.3 million
• Luhansk region: UAH 6.1 million
• Kherson region: UAH 39.1 million
• Chernihiv region: UAH 33.5 million (5 budgets)
