Funding Boost for Anti-Drone Protection on Key Transport Routes

According to 5 канал — Економіка: The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has approved a budget allocation of 789 million UAH from the state reserve fund to enhance anti-drone defenses along critical highways essential for military logistics and national defense. This funding is divided between the State Agency for Infrastructure Restoration and Development and the military administrations of five frontline regions: Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kherson, and Chernihiv. Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky emphasized the urgent need for local authorities and relevant agencies to begin installing these protective systems without delay.

The distribution of the funds is as follows:

• 357 million UAH allocated to the State Agency for Infrastructure Restoration and Development;
• 432 million UAH designated for the military administrations of the five frontline oblasts.

All security measures along transport corridors are planned for rapid implementation, highlighting the critical and time-sensitive nature of this investment amid ongoing security challenges.

Healthcare Budget in Ukraine for 2027

In addition, the draft state budget for 2027 sets healthcare expenditure at 292.5 billion UAH, including 225 billion UAH earmarked for the Medical Guarantees Program. This program’s funding has increased by 33.5 billion UAH compared to the current year, reflecting a growing governmental focus on healthcare development during these difficult times.

The allocation for anti-drone protection underscores the strategic importance of safeguarding vital transport infrastructure under military threat. Protecting these corridors not only preserves essential infrastructure but also supports ongoing defense operations, particularly in frontline regions.
