Rafael Kazbekova won the Youth European Cup in climbing
Ukrainian athlete Rafael Kazbekova became the champion of the Youth European Cup in climbing. The competition took place in France, where she took first place in the 'difficulty' discipline, defeating all her competitors.
Rafael Kazbekova reached the top ten finalists in the age group under 17. She won the qualification, reaching the top twice.
After high results in three stages of the season, Rafael took first place in the overall standings among U-17 girls and became the owner of the European Cup in this discipline.
Successes of Ukrainian athletes
Ukraine showed impressive results at the European Youth Olympic Festival, finishing 10th in the overall medal standings. Our athletes won 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals, making this performance the second most successful in the history of Ukraine's participation in this festival after the record 2019, when they totaled 25 awards.
