Kyiv Residents Face Pedestrian Bridge Restrictions Starting April 30: What to Expect
Traffic Restrictions on Olena Telihy Street
According to Главком: Starting April 30 through December 25, pedestrian movement on the overhead crossings along Olena Telihy Street will be restricted due to repair work. The construction will take place near the public transport stop at the gas station and close to the recreation park. The repairs are scheduled in phases to avoid a complete shutdown of traffic. However, the timeline may shift if weather conditions worsen.
Lisovyi Prospekt Restrictions and Bus Route Changes
Additionally, from April 29 to May 1, between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM, traffic on Lisovyi Prospekt in the Desnyanskyi District will be partially limited. These measures are also tied to ongoing repair activities.
Furthermore, from April 30 to June 27, bus route No. 4-T will be suspended. This is due to repairs on the railway bridge between the Pochaina and Raiduzhnyi stations, as well as changes in the city electric train schedule and a decrease in passenger flow. The municipal enterprise Kyivavtoshliakhmist apologizes for any temporary inconvenience these measures may cause.
The repair work on Olena Telihy Street and Lisovyi Prospekt is part of a broader city infrastructure improvement plan aimed at enhancing safety and comfort for both pedestrians and drivers. While these restrictions may temporarily disrupt daily commutes for residents and public transport users, planning alternative routes in advance is recommended. The adjustments to bus services also reflect the city's effort to adapt its transit network during construction, potentially affecting overall passenger flow during this period.
As the city continues to implement essential infrastructure upgrades, it's important for residents to stay informed about traffic changes. For instance, traffic limitations near Chernihivska metro station are also in effect until December, which may further impact commuting patterns in the area. Staying updated on these developments will help residents navigate the city more efficiently during this period of construction.
