Electric Transport Returns to Kyiv's Right Bank: Routes Restored
Kyiv Reinstates Electric Transport Services
According to Главком: Kyiv's municipal transport company, 'Kyivpastrans', will partially resume electric transport operations on the city's right bank starting February 26, 2023. This decision follows improvements in the national power grid's stability. However, services on the left bank and cross-river routes remain suspended until further notice.
The restoration applies to both trolleybus and tram lines. This marks a significant step in re-establishing urban mobility for residents, who have faced severe disruptions since Russia's invasion. The trolleybus routes returning to service are:

Electric transport on the left bank was initially halted following shelling on January 9, 2023. Its reinstatement, along with cross-river services, is contingent on further stabilization of the energy infrastructure. The current restoration on the right bank is a crucial move to reconnect the capital's transport network.
The return of electric transport to Kyiv's right bank signals a gradual improvement in Ukraine's energy situation, which is vital for ensuring the mobility of the city's residents. We hope that service on the left bank can be restored in time, allowing for more comprehensive transportation across the capital.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, with future actions dependent on the recovery of energy infrastructure and the security conditions in the region.
