Professor Mykola Ankin, a Doctor of Medical Sciences, has been appointed as the acting director of the facility. The order for his appointment was signed on June 18, 2026, the same day a decision was made to terminate the contract and dismiss the previous director, Viktor Dorosh, ahead of schedule. This change in leadership comes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen hospital management and accountability.

Mykola Ankin heads the Department of Orthopedics, Orthoplastic Surgery, and Prosthetics at the Shupyk National University of Healthcare of Ukraine. The hospital, which he now oversees, was established in 1985 and hosts seven university medical departments. Anesthesiologist Olena Bobrovnyk has expressed a positive assessment of Ankin’s appointment, highlighting his professional background.
