Beijing has announced an ambitious development plan that involves the complete integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into all aspects of life. The document, published by the State Council of China, serves as a roadmap for transforming the country into an 'intelligent economy' by 2035.
By 2027, deep integration of AI is expected in six key areas: science, industry, public administration, citizen welfare, consumer goods, and international relations.
By 2030, it is planned to achieve 90% AI utilization, transforming it into a basic infrastructure and driving force of the economy.
The ultimate goal set for 2035 is for artificial intelligence to completely transform Chinese society, initiating a new phase of economic and social production.
China sees AI as an 'international public good'
China views AI as an 'international public good' and emphasizes the importance of developing open-source technologies. Despite technological constraints, the country is actively working to close the gap with American AI models, as evidenced by improvements in their performance in tests. The ten-year plan aims to further strengthen key areas such as security, data supply, and energy efficiency to achieve the set goals.
It should be noted that the 'Diia' portal has launched the world's first government AI assistant, which will help users.
