TV Host Ostapchuk's Ex-Wife Alleges Abuse, Prompting Defamation Lawsuit from Current Wife

According to Главком: Notary Khrystyna Horniak, the ex-wife of Ukrainian TV host Volodymyr Ostapchuk, has publicly accused him of emotional abuse and infidelity during their marriage. She claims she endured years of mistreatment, which she says occurred both when he was intoxicated and in everyday life. Such public allegations involving media personalities often draw significant attention in Ukraine, highlighting personal conflicts in the public eye.

Horniak stated there are multiple witnesses to these incidents, which she cites as a key reason for her decision to divorce in order to protect her mental health. She also confirmed dealing with Ostapchuk's infidelity while they were married.

Current Wife's Response

Ostapchuk's current wife, Kateryna Poltavska, has partially refuted these claims. She asserted that conflicts in the marriage were mutual and that both partners used profanity during arguments. Poltavska expressed doubt that any abuse was one-sided, noting there are always two sides to a relationship's story.

She further announced that she and Volodymyr Ostapchuk intend to file a defamation lawsuit against Khrystyna Horniak.

The house that Horniak and Ostapchuk were building near Kyiv during their marriage was destroyed in a Russian attack on the city. Fortunately, there were no casualties from the shelling of the cottage community.

In her public statement, Horniak also described the emotional difficulties and what she considered a toxic dynamic with her ex-husband. She urged women to avoid relationships with emotionally unstable men, emphasizing the consequences of such partnerships.
