Who will receive an increase in pension from January 1, 2026
Starting from 2026, part of Ukrainian pensioners will receive increased payments. The recalculation will be carried out automatically, without contacting the Pension Fund of Ukraine. The basis will be the increase in the minimum subsistence level, to which basic pensions and most supplements are tied. This is reported by 24 Channel.
Pension increases from January 1, 2026: who will receive more
From January, all payments calculated as percentages of the minimum subsistence level will increase. This primarily concerns minimum and maximum pensions.
The minimum pension will increase from 2,361 to 2,595 hryvnias, the maximum from 23,610 to 25,950 hryvnias.
Social assistance payments will also automatically increase for the following categories:

veterans receiving supplements from 10% to 50% of the minimum subsistence level depending on their status;

pensioners with special merits, for whom the supplement is 20–40% of the minimum subsistence level;
-
persons with outstanding merits before the Homeland, to whom 70% of this indicator is added.
Pension increases from January 1, 2026: additional supplements
A small but guaranteed increase is also expected for pensioners with excess work experience. For each additional year, 1% will be added to the pension, but not more than 1% of the minimum. The maximum supplement will increase from 23.61 to 25.95 hryvnias.
The payment for honorary donors will also change. It amounts to 10% of the minimum subsistence level for one person, so after its increase, the monthly supplement will rise to 320.9 hryvnias.
The minimum subsistence level for persons who have lost their ability to work will be 2,595 hryvnias in 2026, for working-age individuals 3,328 hryvnias. The Budget Declaration for 2026–2028 also includes further phased increases in the minimum pension. A total of 1.27 trillion hryvnias is allocated for pension payments in the state budget, reported Yulia Svyrydenko.
Let us remind you that starting from January 1, 2026, Ukraine strengthens requirements for insurance experience for retirement. According to the new rules, citizens who reach 60 years old will need to have 33 years of work experience.
