'Code of the Economy' Conference
According to Мін. Економіки: The 'Code of the Economy' conference, hosted by Ukraine's Ministry of Economy in partnership with the IT Ukraine Association and the Federation of Employers of Ukraine, brought together over 300 representatives from government, tech firms, industry, agriculture, retail, finance, and international collaborators. The event focused on leveraging technology alongside human resources to address the country’s workforce shortages.
Key Topics Discussed
Attendees delved into the development of digital infrastructure, including ERP systems, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and the integration of artificial intelligence and other advanced tools into business processes. Special attention was given to digital resources available for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), such as:
- transition away from 1C software,
- the 'Pulse' platform,
- the 'ERP vouchers for SMEs' program,
- digital licensing via the ePermit system.
Participants emphasized the importance of equipping businesses to compete effectively within the European Union’s single market.
This conference was supported by the STEP IN 2 EU program, co-funded by the governments of Germany, Norway, Lithuania, Estonia, and the EU under the EU4Business initiative. Implementation is carried out by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. Key organizations like Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation and GIZ Ukraine are actively promoting the advancement of digital technologies in the country.
