Harvard Conference UA-MED 2025: How Medicine is Changing in Ukraine

An international conference UA-MED Heal Ukraine 2025 took place at Harvard University. This was an event where Ukrainian and foreign medical professionals, researchers, managers, and representatives of non-profit organizations gathered.

The conference was the concluding stage of the UA-MED Healthcare Transformation Conferences 2025, dedicated to the development of the Ukrainian healthcare system. The main goal is to improve medicine in Ukraine through the implementation of innovations and innovative approaches.

Participants discussed key aspects of Ukrainian medicine, such as treatment of the wounded, prevention of thrombosis, infection control, telemedicine, care for veterans, and updated methods of military surgery and prosthetics.

During the event, successful practices were presented, such as blood transfusions at the stage of providing assistance, the development of emergency medical evacuation, and a program for treatment abroad. The development of rehabilitation as an important area of work for the Ukrainian Ministry of Health was also discussed.
