According to hvylya.net: The American Congress has openly expressed its opinion on the Pentagon's decision to stop supplying arms to Ukraine. Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick has called on President Trump to hold an urgent briefing on this situation.

In his letter dated July 2, 2025, Fitzpatrick expressed serious concern that the U.S. is withholding important military equipment that it promised to send to Ukraine, especially during Russia's offensive. The Congressman noted that Russian forces have recently conducted over 500 airstrikes, which is the highest number of strikes on Ukraine since the beginning of the war.

Current status of arms supplies: As of now

According to information from WSJ, the U.S. has halted the transfer of existing weapons in Poland intended for Ukraine. Among the delayed shipments were about 20 missiles for Patriot systems, over 20 Stinger air defense systems, Hellfire missiles, and nearly 90 AIM-class missiles. Congressman Mike McCaul from Texas called for continued arms supplies, highlighting the necessity of pressure on Putin.

State Department spokesperson Temmy Bruce attempted to explain the situation: 'We are not halting arms supplies for Ukraine. This is a temporary delay of one of the shipments under changing conditions. There are many alternative ways to address the situation with the arming of Ukrainian forces. This does not indicate a cancellation of our approach to supporting Ukraine or arms supplies in general.'

The situation regarding the suspension of arms supplies to Ukraine has sparked a sharp reaction in Congress, where it has been stated that it is essential to support the country amid the escalation of the conflict with Russia.
