Productive Meeting at Ukraine’s Constitutional Court

According to Конституційний суд: On September 1, a significant working session took place at Ukraine’s Constitutional Court between Acting Chairman Oleksandr Petryshyn and Yuriy Voloshyn, Head of the Office of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO). The discussions centered on expanding institutional collaboration, fostering professional dialogue, and strengthening the ties between the Constitutional Court of Ukraine and EPLO.

Representatives from the Secretariat of the Constitutional Court also joined the meeting. Oleksandr Petryshyn emphasized the court’s keen interest in deepening cooperation with European institutions and adopting innovative forms of international partnership. The participants explored potential areas for expert consultations, analytical exchanges, educational initiatives, sharing of professional expertise, and the promotion of European legal principles within Ukraine’s judicial framework.

The Role and Reach of the European Public Law Organization

Yuriy Voloshyn highlighted EPLO’s extensive global footprint, with 350 projects spanning 75 countries. He noted the organization’s observer status at the United Nations General Assembly and other key international bodies. Voloshyn stressed that EPLO’s mission focuses on advancing public law, upholding the rule of law, and reinforcing democratic and legal institutions. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to furthering professional dialogue and developing practical collaboration models.

This meeting marks a pivotal step in reinforcing ties between Ukraine’s Constitutional Court and European legal entities, reflecting Ukraine’s ongoing efforts to align its legal system with European standards. The dialogue not only aims to build professional networks but also to introduce new legal methodologies that could enhance judicial practices across Ukraine.
