South Korea and the UN provided Ukraine with mobile centers and social taxis

The government of the Republic of Korea and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in partnership with the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine, delivered nine specially equipped vehicles for the communities of Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Kherson regions. According to the Ministry, the total cost of the cars amounted to 555 thousand US dollars.Three mobile administrative service centers were received by the communities of Sumy, Vysokopillya, and Zaporizhzhia, while five 'social taxis' were provided to the communities of Sumy, Velyka Oleksandrivka, Vilniansk, Vysokopillya, and Zaporizhzhia. Additionally, a vehicle for palliative care with assistive equipment was transferred to the Shostka community.Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Ryabikin noted that the new mobile centers and social transport will enhance the capacity of communities to provide necessary support. The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Ukraine, Pak Ki-chang, emphasized that the provision of vehicles is part of broader efforts to support communities in the context of post-war recovery and ensure access to vital services.
