Kyiv's Dynamo does not plan to change the head coach after the unsuccessful start of the season and the premature end of the European Cup campaign. Igor Kostyuk retains the trust of the club president Igor Surkis. This is reported by Champion.

The general director of the capital's club, Dmytro Brif, stated that the management does not consider the issue of dismissing Kostyuk. According to him, Igor Surkis believes in the coach's ability to improve the team's results.

«Head coach of Dynamo Igor Kostyuk has the trust of the club president Igor Surkis. Igor Mykhailovych believes that the current coach is capable of bringing the team to an appropriate level of competitiveness, and hopes that this will happen in the near future. Therefore, the issue of replacing the head coach is currently not on the agenda», said Brif.

The statement came amid rumors about possible personnel changes after a series of unsuccessful results. Last week, the Kyiv team lost to Azerbaijani Karabakh 0-2 and was eliminated in the third qualifying round of the Conference League.

Igor Kostyuk took charge of Dynamo's main team on December 17, 2025. Prior to this, he worked for a long time in the structure of the capital's club and coached the youth team.
