According to glavcom.ua: In a dire situation with credit debtors in occupied Donbas, the authorities have offered people a choice: either go to war or have their debts canceled. This is no longer just a financial issue but a mobilization of resources for waging war in the occupied territories. Under the guise of legalization and social protection, the occupiers use residents as a 'debt resource'.
Such actions by the regime indicate a rise in repression and exploitation of the situation with new legislation, which may lead to further escalation of the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
