According to glavcom.ua: A new edition of the Red Book is being compiled, in which four more bird species are planned to be added. The current population of bird species in Ukraine is estimated at 450 species, of which 91 are listed in the Red Book. Among the newly designated red-listed species are nesting, waterfowl birds, large grebes, and meadow buntings.
