As a result of the shelling, the apartment of the famous TV presenter Olga Freimut was damaged. She was sheltering with her children at that moment. Furthermore, Mitchell added: "The view from the living room window where I grew up, right now. Every morning I wake up thinking that I can't hate Russia any more than I already do, but I am always mistaken. We will never forgive a single Russian for this. They are all responsible."

During the nighttime attack, air defense forces managed to shoot down numerous targets; however, a repeated threat of the use of intercontinental ballistic missiles RS-26 'Rubezh' was later announced. This information appeared in 'Glavkom' with reference to the TV presenter's Instagram account.
