Lithuania revoked residence permits for 145 Russians due to trips to the Russian Federation
According to glavcom.ua: The Lithuanian authorities decided to revoke the temporary residence permits for 145 Russian citizens due to their frequent visits to the aggressor state. This was reported by the Migration Department of Lithuania.
The decision to revoke residence permits for Russians was made due to their trips to Russia or Belarus. Lithuanian laws stipulate the cancellation of residence permits for those who frequently visit these countries.
Lithuania has introduced a regime for revoking residence permits for individuals who frequently visit Russia and Belarus. The last extension with enhanced measures concerning this policy became active in April 2025 and will be in effect until May 2026.
Lithuanian Interior Minister Vladislav Kondratovich approved a new procedure for monitoring Russian citizens who are transiting through Lithuanian territory to the Kaliningrad region.
Lithuania is tightening control over Russian citizens visiting its territory and revoking residence permits for those who frequently travel to Russia and Belarus. The new rules will apply to all travelers in transit to the Kaliningrad region.
