According to Главком: Mamadi Doumbouya won the presidential elections in Guinea, which took place on December 28, gaining 86.72% of the votes. These were the first elections in the country since the military coup in 2021 when Doumbouya came to power by ousting President Alpha Conde. Nine candidates participated in the election, however, key opposition leaders were either sidelined or in exile.

The election results are currently not final as the Supreme Court has up to eight days to confirm the results in case of complaints. Doumbouya, who came to power after the coup, held a September referendum that allowed the military to run and extended the presidential term from five to seven years.
