Explosions in Kharkiv: attack by enemy drones
On the evening of October 5, a series of powerful explosions rang out in Kharkiv. According to monitoring channels, there were at least 12 explosions in the city, reports 'Glavkom'.
The mayor of Kharkiv confirmed the attack and stated that the city was under massive shelling by enemy drones. Head of the Kharkiv OVA Oleg Synegubov reported that information about the consequences is being clarified.
«The threat from the air remains. Do not leave shelters until the alarm has passed. Take care of yourselves!», – he added.
Attack by Russian troops
On the night of October 5, Russian troops conducted yet another massive strike aimed at civilian gas infrastructure facilities that are critically important for the winter period. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the extensive nighttime Russian attack that affected a significant part of the country.
Regions affected include Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Odesa, and Kirovohrad. «At the moment, about 10 people are known to have been injured in the attack. Unfortunately, five have died. I express my sincere condolences to everyone who has lost loved ones due to this terror», Zelensky noted.
The president emphasized that the Russians have again targeted infrastructure that is vital for people.
After the explosions in Kharkiv and the nighttime attack by Russian troops, Ukraine finds itself in a difficult situation with significant human and material losses. Further study and response to these events are necessary to ensure the safety of citizens and the country as a whole.
