Ukraine’s SBU Strikes Seven Russian Military Sites in Crimea and Donbas
Strikes on Russian Military Installations
According to Главком: Over the past week, units from the Special Operations Center A of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) carried out a series of targeted attacks against Russian military assets located on temporarily occupied Ukrainian territory. The operations hit strategic sites in Crimea and the Donetsk region, aiming to degrade Moscow’s warfighting capabilities.
Among the targets were:
- The Dzhankoi military airbase, where relay systems for Russian Orion strike-reconnaissance drones were destroyed;
- Weapons and military equipment storage depots;
- Infrastructure at the Port of Krym in Kerch, including ammunition and fuel-lubricant warehouses in the settlements of Novohryhorivka and Chervone.
Significant strikes also hit a Russian logistics hub near Pokrovsk in Donetsk Oblast. That hub housed supplies of unmanned aerial vehicles, ground robotic systems, and ammunition for occupation forces. Additionally, Ukrainian forces targeted permanent deployment sites for Russian drone operators in KamySh-Zorya and Kamyanka, both in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
The SBU reported the destruction of enemy military warehouses in Hranitne and Styla, Donetsk Oblast. These operations inflicted losses on pilots and command personnel within Russian units operating drone and ground robotic systems.
Separately, SBU drones struck the TANECO oil refinery complex in Nizhnekamsk, Republic of Tatarstan, sparking a fire at the facility. This attack underscores Ukraine’s ongoing efforts to disrupt Russia’s military infrastructure, both on occupied land and deep inside Russian territory.
Ukraine’s Broader Military Strategy
These strikes are part of a larger Ukrainian strategy to weaken Russia’s military power on temporarily occupied ground. By destroying key infrastructure and logistics chains, Kyiv aims to undermine Moscow’s ability to sustain operations in the region. The actions also highlight the growing role of drones in modern warfare, with Ukrainian forces increasingly using unmanned systems to hit high-value targets.
These recent operations align with Ukraine's broader military objectives, which include targeted strikes on critical enemy installations.
