Ukrainian Regions Hit by Widespread Assault

According to Главком: In a large-scale overnight and early morning attack on February 7, Russian forces targeted critical Ukrainian infrastructure using drones and missiles. The assault caused damage across multiple regions, including:

  • Lviv Oblast
  • Kyiv Oblast
  • Rivne Oblast
  • Volyn Oblast
  • Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
  • Vinnytsia Oblast
  • Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
  • Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Ukrainian air defense forces successfully intercepted 406 out of 477 hostile targets, demonstrating the intensity of the offensive. This attack is part of a sustained Russian campaign to degrade Ukraine's energy grid, particularly during the winter months.

Regional Impact and Damage

In Lviv Oblast, specifically in Staryi Dobrotvir, 18 residential buildings were damaged, one of which was completely destroyed. Air raid alerts in the region lasted over six hours. An attack on a facility in Dobrotvir left 6,000 local residents without water and heating, though these services were restored by 12:45. Across Lviv Oblast, more than 600,000 subscribers lost electricity.

In Kyiv Oblast, a fire broke out in a warehouse. Rivne Oblast saw a strike hit an apartment building and damage critical infrastructure. Volyn Oblast suffered damage to a critical infrastructure site from a drone strike. A series of secondary explosions occurred in Burshtyn, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. In Vinnytsia Oblast, an educational institution was damaged, while in Dnipro, a municipal enterprise was hit, damaging buildings, trolleybuses, and other vehicles.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast reported one injured man. As of publication, there was no further information on casualties. Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, stated:

"Because the Russians are deliberately targeting energy facilities in various regions of our state, power outages may last significantly longer."

This assault underscores the ongoing Russian strategy of targeting civilian infrastructure to inflict hardship. Restoring power, water, and heating in affected areas remains a top priority for local authorities. Such strikes highlight the critical need for enhanced air defense systems and emergency preparedness to protect the population.
