Consequences of the large-scale shelling by Russia

According to МВС: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky disclosed data on the consequences of a large combined attack by Russian troops. As a result of the shelling, 22 people died and nearly 90 were injured. The main targets of the strike were Kyiv and the surrounding areas. The situation is particularly severe in the town of Vyshneve near Kyiv, where there was a secondary detonation, and local resources were insufficient to deal with the aftermath.

According to available information, Russian military forces used 68 missiles, a significant portion of which were ballistic. Additionally, more than 350 drones of various modifications were recorded, including jet 'Shaheds'. Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the incident:

'The strike was brutal - just sixty-eight missiles, a lot of ballistic ones. More than 350 drones of different types, including jet 'Shaheds'. With this massive strike alone, the Russians killed 22 people.' – Volodymyr Zelensky

The head of state clarified that at the moment 'almost 90 people were injured'. He also emphasized that this time the main target for Russia was 'Kyiv and the region'. In Vyshneve, the situation is complicated by the fact that the local community lacks its own forces to clear the debris. 'Once again, Putin has 'defeated' ordinary residential buildings,' Zelensky added.

Actions of the authorities

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, in agreement with the president, initiated the allocation of funds from the reserve fund to support the affected Vyshneve community. 'The Cabinet of Ministers will ensure funding from the reserve fund to assist the Vyshneve community: the consequences are such that the community's own resources are insufficient,' the president stated. Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, for his part, regularly reports on the progress of rescue operations and debris clearance.

This attack became one of the most powerful in recent times, indicating an escalation of the conflict and increased activity of Russian troops. The Ukrainian leadership is responding promptly to threats, providing assistance to the affected settlements and coordinating the work of rescuers. This also highlights the urgent need for international support to restore infrastructure and address the consequences of hostilities in Ukraine.

As a result of the recent attack on Kyiv, reported by President Volodymyr Zelensky, not only human lives were affected, but also the infrastructure of the capital. According to preliminary data, the destruction affected 64 apartments, emphasizing the scale of the tragedy and the urgent need for assistance to the victims. The situation requires careful consideration and support from the authorities and society.
