Ministry of Digital Transformation denied the leak from 'Diia': citizens' data is forged
The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine dismissed the information about the 'leak' of citizens' data from the electronic service 'Diia' as a forgery. According to Deputy Minister Vitaliy Balashov, the published files are a fabrication not related to the application systems.
The Ministry explained that the added data turned out to be manipulated fragments from old leaks from commercial sources. This attempt of 'mass leaking' was aimed at misleading citizens and undermining trust in state services.
National Deputy Oleksandr Fedienko warned about the emergence of a database 'diia_users_db_2025' with information about millions of citizens. Fedienko urged to protect their data, as the database may contain financial phone numbers and email addresses.
Other deputies confirm that this information is part of an old 'leak' of data from the 'Diia' database that occurred earlier. So far, there are no new official data or confirmations regarding the scale of this incident.
