The Ministry of Economy has identified 20 sectors with export potential of 16.8 billion dollars

Priority Sectors of Ukraine with Unrealized Potential

According to ХВИЛЯ: The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has identified 20 priority sectors with unrealized potential of 16.8 billion US dollars for export. This was the result of a study titled 'Analysis of Trends and Export Potential in Key Sectors' conducted by the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture.

Key Groups of Sectors

The unrealized potential covers four key groups of sectors:

• Agriculture and Food Industry: growing grains, legumes, and oilseeds, production of oils and fats, as well as processing of meat, vegetable, and fruit products.
• Mining and Metallurgy: production of pig iron and steel, as well as extraction of iron ores.
• Woodworking: manufacturing of furniture, veneer, wood panels, packaging, and sawmill production.
• Machine Engineering: production of parts for cars, railway locomotives and rolling stock, household appliances, as well as aircraft and spacecraft.

These data indicate significant export potential of the Ukrainian economy and opportunities for its development in the specified sectors.

Identifying priority sectors with unrealized potential opens new opportunities for investment and development of Ukraine's economy. This can contribute not only to the growth of exports but also to the creation of new jobs, which is an important factor in the context of restoring the country after many challenges.
