Ministry of Defense to purchase kits for injured servicemen

'State logistics operator' of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has announced the procurement of personal hygiene kits for injured servicemen as part of the 'Wounded Package' initiative. According to the Ministry of Defense, the initiative is aimed at providing defenders with the most necessary items in medical institutions during treatment.

Currently, three purchases have been announced amounting to over UAH 37 million. It is planned to separately procure kits for men (48,000 kits) and separately for women (2,000 kits).

'By the end of this year, soldiers will receive the first sets of personal hygiene items. Dividing the sets into male and female allows us to consider the individual needs of patients in medical institutions. We are currently purchasing what is truly needed in the first days after injury,' emphasizes Mykyta Chichkan, director of the logistics program.

The Ministry of Defense explained that the supplies will be delivered to medical facilities in various regions providing assistance to servicemen. The shipment of the first batches is scheduled for the IV quarter of 2025.

'At the end of June, the logistics program already purchased the first component of the package - adaptive clothing for military personnel of all defense forces. Now the next component is hygiene kits, which will be delivered to servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine through medical institutions,' stated the department.

The announcement of the procurement of personal hygiene kits for injured servicemen 'Wounded Package' by the Ministry of Defense demonstrates the constant care of the government for the armed forces, ensuring the most necessary conditions for servicemen during treatment and recovery.
