Ministry of Defense launches the 'Maino' system: how military property will now be accounted for

According to ХВИЛЯ: The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has launched the pilot operation stage of a new information system 'Maino', developed to improve the management of military property. This innovative system is created by military specialists of the Center for Scaling Technological Solutions and provides the capability to account for, write off, and generate reports, significantly simplifying management processes.

At the start of testing, the 'Maino' system covers the accounting of communication and cybersecurity means. According to information, the system is integrated with the logistics management system, allowing for a unified picture of resource movement and quick, transparent decision-making. The efficiency of the new system is ensured by:

• calculating requirements;
• distribution and movement of equipment and machinery;

These processes now occur several times faster.

The 'Maino' system also promotes transparency in the management of military property, as data on property movement is available in real time without the need to wait for paper reports 'from below'. A high level of protection is ensured by the use of multi-factor authentication and a clear distribution of access roles, which enhances the system's reliability.

Oksana Ferchuk, one of the developers, noted: 'Maino is yet another solution created by military IT units specifically for the needs of colleagues in the field.'

The implementation of the 'Maino' system is an important step in modernizing the military infrastructure of Ukraine, as it takes into account the needs of modern military management. Thanks to the integration with logistics systems, processes become more convenient and efficient, which can positively impact the overall readiness and operational capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
