Centers for Assistance to Those Rescued from Sexual Violence

The Ministry of Social Policy presented its achievements and future plans in the field of combating violence and developing gender policy at a meeting of the Commission on Equal Rights and Opportunities. The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and brought together participants, including First Lady Olena Zelenska, Minister of Social Policy Denys Uliutin, First Deputy Minister Liudmyla Shemelinets, as well as representatives of the government and international partners.

At the meeting, Denys Uliutin emphasized that there are over a thousand support services for victims of violence operating in Ukraine. The Centers of Resilience and a new Center for Assistance to Those Rescued from War-Related Sexual Violence have also been launched. Liudmyla Shemelinets also announced the completion of the National Action Plan 'Women. Peace. Security' and the work on legislative changes regarding the rehabilitation of victims and state funding.

The government continues to support and develop programs and legislation to combat violence and assist victims, as well as actively engage international partners in these processes, rapidly pursuing reforms in this area.
