Mobile medical teams will vaccinate children against measles in remote communities of 7 regions

In December, mobile medical teams will operate in the communities of Lviv, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi, and Khmelnytskyi regions, vaccinating children against measles. This initiative will allow parents to quickly 'catch up' on vaccinations for their children in case of missed appointments and protect them from the disease.

Statistics show that as of September 2025, there were 1,446 cases of measles in Ukraine, which is 7 times more than in the previous year. The campaign was initiated by the WHO Office in Ukraine, the Ministry of Health, the Center for Public Health, the Coalition for Vaccination, and the regional Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The work schedule of these teams will be published on the social media of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. For more information, you can contact:

Measles is a highly contagious disease.
Vaccination against measles is the only means of protection against the disease, included in the national vaccination calendar and completely free of charge.

Ukraine is launching a large-scale vaccination campaign against measles in collaboration with international and national organizations to protect the population from this dangerous disease. Mobile medical teams will work in communities across seven regions to ensure maximum vaccination coverage and prevent the spread of measles. This is an important step to enhance the health protection level of children and the entire population of Ukraine.
