Language ombudsman reacts to the scandal
Ситуація в дитячому садку Білої Церкви: викладачі зазнають цькування за використання української мови.

In a kindergarten in Bila Tserkva, tension erupted over the situation involving a teacher and a three-year-old displaced girl who was learning the Ukrainian language. Olena Ivanovska, the authorized representative for the protection of the state language, made a demand to adhere to language legislation and to prevent the bullying of educators.

Ivanovska's resonant appeal caused outrage online, where the situation was discussed. The ombudsman urged local authorities to monitor compliance with language norms in educational institutions and support educators in this matter.

«A Ukrainian kindergarten, just like a school, is a space where a child must organically grow up as a Ukrainian: both the family and educators must jointly help them master the language of the country»

Ivanovska emphasized the importance of learning the Ukrainian language for the development of national consciousness and citizenship among children, urging parents to assist them in this process.
