Denis Kapustin has already been sentenced in Russia to life imprisonment for:

• treason,
• organizing a terrorist group,
• training for carrying out terrorist acts.

He is also involved in a case concerning the invasion of the Bryansk region, which occurred in March 2023. Reportedly, Russian intelligence services ordered his assassination, allocating half a million dollars for it.
