According to Федерація Легкої Атлетики: A great legend of athletics has passed away in Canada - Anatoliy Bondarchuk. He was not only a successful athlete but also a distinguished coach, scientist, and Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences. In his career, he raised many famous athletes, including Yuriy Sedikh and Ivan Katzberg.

His death was a great loss for the global sports community. The Ukrainian Athletics Federation expressed sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the great master and noted his significant contribution to the development of sports.
