He later worked as a welder for the Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company, where he earned a reputation as a reliable employee.
Military service and legacy
In 2025, Roman chose to defend Ukraine's territorial integrity. He served with the 82nd Separate Bukovynian Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces in the northern Sloboda region, as well as with the 14th Ivan Bohun Operational Brigade "Chervona Kalyna" of the National Guard of Ukraine in the Donetsk area. For his service, he was awarded the Veteran of War medal.
