According to hvylya.net: In the Northern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy is trying to storm the positions of Ukrainian defenders exclusively on foot, as the rugged terrain of Sumy region does not allow for the use of armored vehicles.

This was reported by Ivan Shevtsov, head of the press service of the 15th mobile border detachment 'Steel Border', in a broadcast on 'Suspilne'.

According to the military officer, the section of Sumy region can currently be conditionally divided into two main parts. The first is the state border line, where active hostilities are not taking place; however, the enemy is constantly shelling Ukrainian positions. The second part is located within the Khotin and Yunakov territorial communities, where the enemy is conducting active storming operations.

'There, the enemy conducts active storming operations – groups of three to five infantrymen attack the Defense Forces positions. They attack without equipment, as the terrain is too rough for it,' Ivan Shevtsov explained.

The press service chief noted that there has been no activation of enemy sabotage groups in the past month and a half. In the past 24 hours, the enemy carried out nine storming actions, of which the 15th mobile border detachment units repelled three attacks.

Besides ground assaults, the occupiers continue intense shelling of the region. The enemy also actively uses artillery and strike drones.

'Overall, the situation today is stable, but quite tense,' summed up Ivan Shevtsov.

Ukrainian military commanders in the Northern Slobozhansky direction reported that enemy forces are trying to attack their positions on foot without the use of armored vehicles due to the rugged terrain. The situation remains tense, although sabotage groups have not been active lately. In addition to ground attacks, the occupiers continue shelling the region using artillery and drones.
