Poacher in Odesa Region caused 8 million UAH damages to the state
According to glavcom.ua: In the Odesa region, law enforcement officers uncovered a poacher who was illegally fishing in the territory of the Tuzly Lagoons National Nature Park. According to preliminary calculations, his actions caused damages to the state amounting to over 8 million UAH. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the State Border Service.
As noted by border guards, during a raid on Lake Alibey, law enforcement officers detained a resident of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district. He was illegally catching fish using nets, without any permits. At the time of his detention, the poacher had already managed to catch 439 mullets.
Fishing gear and caught biological resources were seized. The offender faces criminal responsibility under Part 1 of Article 249 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - 'Illegal occupation of fishing, hunting, or other resource extraction activity.'
As a reminder, in the night of September 10, the occupiers attacked Odesa region with strike drones. According to the Odesa Regional Military Administration, the Izmail district was under attack, as reported by 'Glavkom'.
The head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper, reported that the enemy attacked the Izmail district with strike drones. Russian occupiers targeted warehouses and utility buildings. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties or injuries.
In the Odesa region, two events took place: law enforcement officers uncovered a poacher who caused significant damages to the state through illegal fishing, and Russian occupiers attacked the Izmail district with strike drones. Fortunately, as a result of the latter event, there were no casualties or fatalities.
