According to glavcom.ua: Electricity has again disappeared in the occupied Donetsk region after a drone attack. This information was spread by local Telegram channels, referring to 'Glavkom'.
According to reports, the attack began after 19:20. Loud explosions were heard in Shakhtarsk, and then 'working air defense' was also recorded in Donetsk, Makiivka, and drones in Zuhres.
At that time, Telegram channels reported that electricity was cut off in several settlements of the Donetsk region. The publics reported drone strikes on the Zuivka thermal power station and the substation in Shakhtarsk.
As of 21:05, the threat of explosions remained in Zuhres, Dokuchayevsk, and Torez.
Consequences of the Drone Attack in Donetsk Region
As a result of the drone attacks, two thermal power plants were damaged, leading to the shutdown of boilers and filtration stations in the Donetsk region. More than 500,000 people were left without electricity due to the actions of the drones.
Earlier, Pushilin reported that as a result of the drone attacks on the energy infrastructure, over 500,000 residents of Donetsk, Makiivka, Horlivka, and Yasynuvata were left without electricity.
In addition, during the night of November 18, a raid occurred on the local thermal power station in the occupied Zuhres, resulting in damage to one of the boilers.
