Emergency Crews Save Two Deer Calves Trapped by Fire

According to ДСНС: While extinguishing a dry grass fire near the village of Mala Sovpa in the Rivne region, firefighters rescued two fawns that were unable to escape the danger on their own. The young deer were found surrounded by smoke and flames, and thanks to the rescuers' efforts, the animals were carried out of the fire zone to a safe location.

The Critical Role of Rapid Response

When help is needed-whether for people or animals-emergency responders are there. It is essential to recognize that such fires cause irreversible damage to the environment, destroy plant and animal life, and can threaten human safety. We urge the public not to burn dry vegetation!

Fires in open areas, particularly in forests and fields, not only lead to a loss of biodiversity but also endanger the lives of animals and people nearby. With this in mind, calls for caution and responsibility in the use of fire remain crucial for protecting both the ecosystem and the population.

This recent rescue operation in the Rivne region is not an isolated incident. Similar emergencies have occurred elsewhere, such as when newborn fawns were saved from wildfires in the Kyiv region. These events underscore the urgent need for awareness and preventive measures to protect wildlife from the devastating effects of fire.
