Ukrainian boxer Yuriy Yehorov killed in war

According to glavcom.ua: On July 11, 2025, the fighter of the Azov brigade and well-known Ukrainian boxer Yuriy Yehorov was killed. This information was published by the Boxing Federation of Ukraine.

Yuriy Yehorov was born in 2004 in the village of Rizhany in the Zhytomyr region. He graduated from the school in his native village and later entered the Zhytomyr Polissia Agro University.

Also killed at the front was the famous Ukrainian rower Yuriy Bredak (callsign «Clover»), who died on June 23, 2025.

Another loss: Famous athlete killed

Information has circulated regarding the death of well-known Ukrainian athlete Vitaliy Rymaruk at the front. He served as an officer in the National Guard of Ukraine and was killed in the Donetsk region.

Vitaliy was the champion of Ukraine among youth and a prize-winner of adult championships in discus throw. He left behind a widow and a small daughter.

Ukrainian sports have lost two outstanding representatives - boxer Yuriy Yehorov and athlete Vitaliy Rymaruk, who died at the front. They were not only successful in their fields but also served in the army, giving their lives for their country. Eternal memory to these heroes; their contribution to sports and the defense capability of the country will long remain in the memory of Ukrainians.
