In Vinnytsia, medical workers and officials became fake disabled persons? The SBU initiated a check

According to glavcom.ua: The Security Service of Ukraine in the Vinnytsia region has gained temporary access to the medical records of several individuals suspected of obtaining fake disability groups. This is reported by 'Glaсkom' with reference to the court register.

This concerns 24 people who are disabled of the second and third groups. Some of them obtained the relevant documents during martial law, and some even managed to receive a lifelong disability group.

According to the preliminary investigation, an illegal mechanism for obtaining unsubstantiated positive conclusions from the MSEC during initial examinations and re-examinations of draftable individuals has been uncovered in the Vinnytsia region, including medical workers and officials of local healthcare institutions.

The investigation suspects that the disability groups were likely obtained for money with the aim of delaying conscription during mobilization and traveling abroad. Law enforcement officials also suggest that certain members of the MSEC may be involved in this 'scheme'.

SBU's plans regarding the medical records of the disabled

After seizing copies of the medical records of people with disabilities, SBU employees plan to contact the state institution 'Ukrainian State Research Institute of Medico-Social Problems of Disability of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine' (Dnipro) to verify the justification for granting the disability group. If specialists from Dnipro find violations, the investigation requests to cancel the disability groups.

The criminal proceedings are being investigated for obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations (Part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code). The sanction of the article provides for punishment from five to eight years in prison.

The Security Service of Ukraine has identified instances of obtaining fake disability groups during martial law and mobilizations, suspecting individuals of illegally using this status to evade service or travel abroad. The SBU's plans include cooperation with medical institutions to verify the justification for granting disability groups and the possible cancellation of such groups in cases of violations.
