In Vinnytsia region, prosecutors uncovered massive embezzlement: 19 have been charged

A group of offenders has been uncovered in the region, abusing power while committing various criminal acts - from theft of budget funds to illegal real estate transactions. A total of 19 individuals are suspected, including prominent officials.

Among the suspects:

• a former head of the Mykulyntsi village council - involved in speculations and forgery of documents to obtain 29 hectares of land;
• a former head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the region - accused of embezzling during the procurement of 790 sets of radiation protection gear, leading to significant losses to the budget and low quality of special clothing;
• an official who registered ownership of parts of the Vinnytsia agricultural educational institution’s buildings without legal grounds;
• another official who, with illegal intent, registered ownership of agricultural land plots;
• a municipal property official, contractor, and controller - involved in financial abuses during road repairs;
• officials who issued unjustified salaries to themselves by deceiving the system;
• contractors who, instead of construction, spent budget funds on their own needs;
• a master who allowed illegal logging in the forestry enterprise;

Additionally, a scheme for shadow supplies of Russian medications has been uncovered, causing significant budget losses. According to the information obtained, the organizer of this scheme was a Russian - the owner of a pharmaceutical holding and a member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.

Also, in another region, in cooperation with law enforcement authorities, thieves were uncovered who stole funds intended to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the civilian population. 20 individuals have been detained, and the amount of damage to the budget exceeded 43.7 million hryvnias.
