In Vinnytsia region, a gang of attackers was detained: demanded $200 thousand of a fictitious debt

According to glavcom.ua: The police of Vinnytsia region detained three members of an armed group who attacked a couple of entrepreneurs and forcibly demanded over $200 thousand of a fictitious debt. The suspects broke into a house at one of the recreation centers in the Vinnytsia district, where the victims' family was hiding from them. The suspects beat the people and forcibly made them sign debt acknowledgments for a significant amount. Three members of the criminal group have been detained.

During urgent searches, the police seized a significant amount of documents, including debt acknowledgments, over $7 thousand, over 120 thousand UAH, seven units of weapons, mobile phones, clothing worn by the attackers, as well as a car they used to move around. The suspects face up to fifteen years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

It is recalled that the National Police began a service investigation into the fatal traffic accident in the city of Pryluky in Chernihiv region, where a child died. The police officers were removed from performing their official duties.
