In Vinnytsia, a criminal who murdered an elderly couple shot himself in front of the police

According to glavcom.ua: The suspect in the double murder in Cherkasy has been apprehended. The man, who was wanted on suspicion of murdering the elderly couple, made a drastic choice and decided to take his own life during a confrontation with the police in Vinnytsia.

The criminal called the emergency line 102 from the Khmilnyk district of Vinnytsia region, holding grenades and a gun, and refused to surrender his weapon, choosing death during a special operation involving the KORD special unit.

«During a complex police operation with the KORD special unit, a 63-year-old man refused to surrender his weapon and committed suicide,» law enforcement representatives reported.

A woman found dead in a cornfield

Among the cornfields, employees of an agricultural firm in Kirovohrad region discovered the body of a woman showing signs of violent death. They learned from colleagues about a white car that had passed through the area during the crime and reported this information to the police.

As a result of the investigation, the Kirovohrad police established that two previously convicted criminals had jointly decided to approach the elderly couple in the Smila district. After beating and robbing them, they brutally tormented the victims to find a hidden place for money and jewelry.

The events that occurred in Cherkasy and Kirovohrad regions demonstrate the cruelty and ruthlessness of criminals who chose the most horrific way to commit the crime. Cooperation between law enforcement agencies and the public is a key factor in detecting and punishing the guilty.
