Three train cars derailed in Transcarpathia: what is known about the accident

An incident occurred in Transcarpathia - three cars of passenger train №39/40, which was traveling from Zaporizhzhia to Solotvyno, collided. This was reported by the company 'Ukrzaliznytsia'. Fortunately, there were no injuries among passengers and the train crew.

The causes of the incident will be investigated by a special commission, but the preliminary assumption is that the tracks were pushed apart due to unexpected heat.

Specialists from 'UZ' are already working on logistics in the region and discussing the details of restoration work. Some trains will be limited or rerouted. For example, suburban train №6581 will not go further than Vynogradiv, and passengers of flight №84 Solotvyno - Kyiv are asked to wait for further instructions.

As a result of the incident, apart from the quite tense nerves of the passengers, there were no serious injuries or material damage. The commission will conduct an investigation, and 'Ukrzaliznytsia' is taking measures to restore normal train movement in the near future.
