Syrskyi on military training preparation: training period extended, focus on safety

According to glavcom.ua: General Oleksandr Syrskyi, the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, announced the continuation of the offensive by the Russian terrorist army. He emphasized the importance of enhancing the country's defense capability and the quality training of military personnel to repel the aggression of the Russian Federation.

Syrskyi stressed the significance of not only military equipment but also personnel. He pointed out the necessity of mobilization, new contracts, and quality training of servicemen. The general highlighted the importance of continuous development and improvement of military qualifications.

Moreover, he emphasized the importance of increasing the duration of basic military training and improving the training process. Syrskyi underscored the need to ensure the safety of servicemen and to construct shelters in training centers.

«We clearly see the leaders that others should follow,» the general noted.

He also stressed the importance of adapting servicemen during basic training and noted that the safety of the military is a high priority. Servicemen who take the oath become part of the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and can be called up after reaching the age of 25.

During the escalation of the conflict in eastern Ukraine, General Syrskyi emphasizes the importance of increasing the combat readiness of the troops, systematic qualification improvement, and ensuring the safety of servicemen.
