NABU interrogates 40 individuals in the energy sector corruption case: investigation will continue until 2026
Corruption investigation in Ukraine's energy sector
According to ХВИЛЯ: The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine is conducting a large-scale series of interrogations in the energy sector corruption case, questioning 40 individuals. The investigation has been ongoing for 15 months, and recently the High Anti-Corruption Court extended the investigation period until August 10, 2026. As part of this case, detectives are establishing the current residences of the suspects to serve summonses.
Current status of the case
As of the beginning of 2026, experts are working on 13 computer-technical examinations and six audio analysis. As part of a special operation called 'Midas', detectives will conduct a detailed inspection of over 150 units of seized equipment. The case gained prominence on November 10, when seven individuals became suspects, including the key figure Timur Mindich. A total of over 256 million hryvnias in money laundering has been documented.
