Національний банк України роз'яснює нові правила щодо вивезення валютних коштів: які обмеження на готівку діятимуть у 2026 році.

Rules for moving currency across the state border in 2026

According to ХВИЛЯ: The National Bank of Ukraine has clarified the rules for moving currency across the state border in 2026. According to the new regulations, Ukrainians will be able to export cash up to 10,000 euros without written declaration. This will simplify the procedure for leaving the country for citizens planning trips or staying outside the country.

If the amount of cash exceeds 10,000 euros, the individual is required to fill out a declaration and provide documentary evidence of the legal origin of the funds. Violating these requirements entails financial responsibility under Article 471 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. Specifically, the fine for exceeding the allowed limit will be 20% of the amount that exceeds the established threshold. For example, trying to export 20,000 euros will result in a fine of 2,000 euros.

The importance of complying with legislation

Thus, the new currency export rules create clear guidelines for Ukrainians planning trips abroad in 2026, while emphasizing the importance of adhering to legislation in financial matters.

These changes can significantly simplify the process of leaving the country for many Ukrainians, especially those planning short trips. The introduction of clear rules regarding currency declaration also highlights the importance of monitoring financial flows and combating potential offenses. Consumers should be attentive and informed about the new requirements to avoid unforeseen financial consequences.
