Medical specialists from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine clarified that heat stroke is a critical condition that can occur as a result of prolonged exposure to the sun or in rooms with high temperatures.

Heat stroke can manifest with various symptoms such as altered consciousness, nausea, headache, rapid heartbeat, and difficulty breathing. In case of suspicion of heat stroke, it is important to immediately seek medical assistance and follow the recommendations for providing aid.

Recommendations in case of suspected heat stroke

  • Move the affected person to a shady, cool place.
  • Apply cold compresses to the neck, armpits, and groin area.
  • Give the affected person water in small sips.
  • Ensure a safe position on the side in case of vomiting.
