According to Главком: On June 15, Kyiv faced a nighttime assault, during which a Shahed kamikaze drone hit a residential building in the Lisovyi neighborhood of the Desnianskyi district. The impact sparked a fire in the high-rise. Additionally, a direct strike was recorded at the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, a UNESCO World Heritage site, setting the roof of the Dormition Cathedral ablaze.

Affected Districts and Aftermath of the Attack

Residential buildings in other parts of the capital also suffered damage:

• In the Pecherskyi district, a five-story apartment block was struck;
• In the Obolonskyi district, a residential building was damaged between the third and fourth floors;
• In the Solomianskyi district, a nine-story residential building was hit.

Moreover, the attack ignited a fire at the National Oleksandr Dovzhenko Film Studio, damaging Ukraine’s largest and oldest costume collection. The studio housed roughly one hundred thousand costumes and three million clothing items.

“We currently have no information about the condition of our home, as rescue operations are still ongoing at the site.”
